Dim The Lights, The Results Are In

This should tell you everything. (image: CostumeStore.com)

Jamie got his results for his sperm penetration test. You know, the one where they see how well his sperm can penetrate a hamster egg? It turns out that he could father a legit butt-ton of Hamster-Jamie hybrids. The lady told him that anything over 20% is considered good and well, Jamie's sperm really reported for duty last week, because he got 100% on this test!

I'm really excited about this. Well, kind of. I'm excited that his li'l doods can do work. It's just one less thing to worry about. I'm excited that we can take the next step, which is my hysterosalpingogram. I'm excited that we're that much closer to our goal. It's just a little confusing, though, since the doc was under the impression that I am ovulating regularly and of good health. It also makes me wonder why it just wasn't happening back when I was doing everything right; when I was charting and peeing on things that told me when I was ovulating and checking all of my physical ovulatory signals and symptoms and timing timing timing. (Yes, I'm pretty sure I just made up the word ovulatory.)

As frustrating as that is, however, I'm not feeling defeated. I am hopeful and still as eager as ever to move forward. My hysterosalpingogram (which will tell me if my fallopian tubes are open) has to be done during the time after my period, but before ovulation, so I have to wait that out a couple weeks. Wishful thinking has me dreaming about not even having to schedule it because "Oh, hey, my period's super late..." but I'm going to stick to reality here and just assume it will be here, on time, like it almost always is.

Wish us luck, okay?
